In the past week, two pieces of news about e-cigarettes have drawn wide attention:
In Decatur, Illinois, the city council passed a law imposing a tax of $0.10 per milliliter on e-cigarette products sold in the city. The tax will take effect on October 1, 2025.
In Malaysia, the Minister of Health announced that the government is preparing a cabinet document to completely ban e-cigarettes, stating clearly: “The question is no longer whether to ban, but when to ban.”
